Woo wee, I havent posted in like forever in this blog, and then bam! New gundam series sees a lot of hate among bloggers...

I actually like it, well the first concept. I'm a manchild I'll admit merchandise driven animations involving robots have always been my hobby. And yes I would so pay for the dragon mecha or the blue Gundam age.

So kids show right? Uh huh pretty Grimdark. I actually thought this was Bandai's makeover of V Gundam due to the kiddish designs of the protagonist. But this is just damn harsh at the start.

Well, as much as I hate to spout bullshit to all the anibloggers who's done some pretty negative reviews on these anime, I can't so. Surprisingly, I thought fans would welcome this show's concept with there welcome arms, due to the success of (pantsu) Strike witches or Sky girls. I though wrong. My only complaint is, what's the difference(moving aside the male protagonist and the plot).Yeah sure Strike witches had little girls flying around with jet propellers for legs and wearing no pants(since they drag you, and aerodynamics is a bitch at times). Whilst Sky girls have a much more external plane exoskeleton and still wear classy leotards. Point is, its still your classic mecha musume theme(now with a guy).

Now the fight scene reminds me a lot more of Macross as to Gundam . but so far, the only REAL mecha combat we had was ep 2, and god I enjoyed it. Good highhlight seeing he made it pass through thopse FUCKUING BITS! (argeubaly the most cheap/ hackx weapon in gundam) also saying that they had built in shields with their suits,(im gonna cut gundam a slack now, I mean they carry giant slabs of metal that some would call "protection")

Ahh fucking Limited editions!

So as for the post, I"m actually pretty surprised that SEGA, updated Border Break, I thought it was gonna be dead end, due to the lack of commercialization of the game(still). WOW When I bought this Figure, I though it stood the same level as Date would, seing his newer and shit. Well I really sont have any complaints with Date, his Structure design is Solid. Now Chosokabe, (dont hate me for this Chosokabe fans Hate Revoltech for this) His really flimpsy, his loose and That Gaps, FFFFFFFFFFFFFFF!!!! I hate those Gaps, They dont even need to be there, I would fill those gaps Right now, If I had the right paint to do so, FFFFFF!!! Now The looseness issue, The arms, there pegs joints wont fully fit in the arms propperly thus it tends to fall off. ANd The Right leg, Though this couldprbably be mine, but it doesnt seem to be fully attached to its socket compared to the left leg. Im Dissapoint Revoltech.

SO its been a longs a time since I've posted any decent review post, and I may have posted a few filler, which makes me no better than a Naruto rerun at channel 25(Orz I hurt myself). So let me make up to you by giving another long MG review, well its been long overdue anyway =P

Despite my many gripes at the articulation, It looks really good just standing there(would have been better if polished and topcoated it^^;)The Model has a pretty good balance, due to its weight and bulk, but seriously, its not like its gonna carry something extremely heavy now, right? >=]

Oh and Packard Norris is Included W00T, To bad I dont have appropriate paints to paint him with^^;;

*Head*

Yeah bad lighting, and I kinda blurred the visor with the polishing cream a bit. But need less to say, the mono eye design is striking. BTW, NEVER USE THE EYE STICKER AT ALL!!!

It can turn its head 360, but It cant tilt its head up nor down

The scalp is removable to allow posability of the eye. This is the real pain I have with this model, you must have fingernails or something thin yet tough to move it, Its a hassle, I know.

Thats about how much I can move it^^;;

It shoots bullets, not beams, also a considerable replacement for the *Vulcan fingers* The old Goufs used(this weapon was carried over to the design of GSD's gouf)

*I actually have to disassemble the gun to just get the shield* Its a Regular Gouf equipment, too bad the shield was purely solid

Its the replaceable fingers type hands, kinda fiddly and loose sometimes, and you don't need the trigger finger set

Formania Nausicaa Gunship

First, Shame on you ppl who never heard of Nausicaa, and Shame on me for not watching the film, But I Did red the manga so half shame to me. Flight, being one of Hayao Miyazaki themes, resulted having most of his works include interesting machines that take flight, minus the broomstick^^;;,I really love the Gliders and Gunship due to its design, and the seperation it has from modern aircraft. Best parts, they included a f*cking stand and the wings have an opening mechanism

Not much progress on the arms, in fact, its bursting with problems

Instead of having the shoulder armor attach to, well dud, the shoulder, I just had to attach it to the arms, because the old shoulder pieces for the figma, Broke...

So I have a few questions to ask:

*Should I clean up the 00 joint that serves as the joint armor for the shoulder?
*Or leave it as it is, unpreppede, I mean, Its not gonna show up anyway once the armor's been attached?

Had to fill in the gaps, with my remaining white putty

Good news is, I finally finished the whole Skirt armor. It was a lot of fiddling and finger sticking problems, but heck Im happy with the result

WIP shoulder armor

Changed the design of the skirt armor as well, i mosly based it off the MG revise skirt armor btw.The design is less bulkier and doesnt restrain the movements of the legs, Plus the sword and sheath could be attached now, the only downside is that it feels a little too fragile

The torso and the abdomen are one piece now, compared to the last one where it can swivel, the problem was when I added the front astray torso, the abdomen would connct, so I had shave bits of it. Then I just glue the whole thing together.

He also comes with the new container Box to put extra parts in, minus the swords.The Stand, also comes with a new extender piece.

He comes with two (rayp) face, and its pain to switch this face, since you have to pull off the head then the neck, which aint very easy to do.

The grip hands swivel up and down compared to the other hands that swivels sideways btw extra care is needed in handling, dur. Precaution as don't insert the sword in his hands while its still attached to the arms, better off pulling the hands first then insert it then push it back. Man was that a mouthful^^;

Date's Sheaths can only hold handles unfortunately, but hey its nicely detailed! The sheaths also use double revoltech joints for more pose-ability, bet you though it was stuck on his hips or his belt eh?

That neck is not only awkward but that awkward piece extending behind his collar hurts the ego/awesome factor of the back.

Nice touch giving the end piece swivel joints

His "Kabuto" has a freaking Gold Plated Crest, not sharp enough to poke someones eye, nor can blind eyes, but it has a good feel in it.

Date incorporates older style revoltech legs, down in time the swivel pelvis was an adoration, but now it is a detested form of articulation. Yes until now I despise such pelvis. The thigh can only move forward, but the leg has the newer double jointed revojoints allowing it some more bend, the feet needs to be slightly angled at the slide to move upward.

Ironically for a guy whose first line involved guns, he sure doesnt have a speck of gunpowder on him, unless you count the bullet that went through him. Anyway Deffinitely an insanely good figure to have minus the crappyness of the faces, but makes up for great details, yeah I forgot the chainmail. You can pull off a whole lot of action with this guy, and now I loosen up to those dreaded swivel joints. Sadly No such Harley Davidson horse has been planned with this guy, guess we have to settle with "My little Pony then eh?

MG (clear part campaign) Freedom Gundam

"Model Itself"

First of all, freedom is Back Heavy, or maybe cause my Freedoms ankle joints are loose, you have to position the wings in some right position to get it to atleast stand, but you will get an awkward standing pose just like the image above.

It does come with a stand and yeah it plugs throught its crotch like today's HG 1/144,but it also comes with a holder to store the crotch plug in.

Freedom also doesnt have the newer stomach articulation, thought it does have a balljointed waist, but the problem with it, is its too weak to support freedoms torso due to its back heavy wings, therfore the torso sags backs a lot.

The gun holder its not as tight as it should be there fore applied some glue to tighten it up.

Accessories p1 Beam rifle

Since most of Freedoms weapons are built in, it doesnt have to worry having its hands full of weapons, unlike this dude^^

The Beam rifle ,MA-M20 "Lupus" high-energy beam rifle, I took the time to just paint the blue strip on the gun, not that good, "but its the joy of painting that counts" Oh and colored the targeting scope gold, green doesn't look very right.

I was either at the mercy of the Decal gods or It may have been that yellow hobby tape I just bought, Dunno but they turned rather well^^

"Articulation"

Arms can move pretty high up

Arms can also bend at two points at the elbow

Freedom has limited pelvis articulation due to ball joints, but then again even it was using todays MG style pelvis, those huge side skirts would get in the way

Freedoms leg can bend far and so could the feet

Though at first those thight joints are very stiff at first, so it could be a pain to move them around for a while.

Freedoms torso could only turn that much due to the front and back skirt

Accessories p2 "Shield"

At first I though the shield was going to have a sliding handle, kinda dissapointing. The sheild also comes with a rifle stand/hole thing and can switch to either right or left side of the shield...NOW WHAT KIND OF GIMMICK IS THAT?!?! ID RATHER HAVE THE SLIDING MECHANISM HANDLE!!!!

Wings, Freedoms Oh so Blue, and oh so Beautiful wings, and its also a night mare for those suffering symmetrical syndrome^^;

Since Freedoms hands doesn't have a grip on them the gun is pretty much "hanging on his hands, and the design of the rigger hold doesn't it match with freedom's hands, it the trigger doesn't even reach the trigger finger, way to go Bandai!

MA-M01 "Lacerta" beam sabers can combine in to a double beam saber, ooh very Star wars dont you think, and now Red face is gonna sue >=]

The plug parts for the arms, are pretty loose and I wont even suggest having that piece just dangling on the secondary peg, it could come off loose,so your better off having this stored else ware

Freedom comes with two hip mounted MMI-M15 "Xiphias" rail cannons its also the Beams saber holders. Though a little too long, I personally thinks its reasonable, I mean-oh wait I dont even know it this thing really is called a railgun, cause railguns are supposed to be High velocity projectile launchin typed weaponry, but it fires Beams!?!?

Nice little Gimmick here, the M100 "Balaena" plasma beam cannons, have swiveling joints so it can move side to side.

Personally I didn't have as much problem with V fins when it came to the twin cannons, its actually pretty sturdy

This is how the torso is positioned due to the weight if the wings, its sags way to far.

This is the torso with the the tab on the rear skirt on, as you can see, the waist is slightly tilted.

This is Tab on the skirt looks like, yeah I think most people would pay no attention to this Tab at first, since the instruction or images on the box doesnt show this gimmick(great job bandai).

Yeah I hate puttying,since it takes a long time for it to harden enough to file or cut away.

Skirt layout

Part attachments for the side skirt, nearly screwed this one thanks to the glue taking a long time to dry, and it keeps frosting too(yup the basement is always cold)

A question to a few folks, should I attach Astrays thigh armor as well on the leg, I have some plans involving that piece, but I also dont want to ruin the thigh highs as well.

The Figure/Toy itself

His head is actually dark brownish in color, its also in balljoint.

No feet articulation but it does have an awesome gear function for transforming, um DER were talking about a bayformer here. But in terms of posing beats any tree stump legged mecha in a standoff

Under all that bulk and metal[plastic] is a...NOTHING!?!

I do have one major complaint about this figure, its that piece that attaches the upper and lower torso together is rather loose, even with a quick mending of glue/nail polish.

I though the first movie Ironhide toy's guns were screwed in the arm, you can take the guns off.

Articulation

Articulation is pretty basic not much to show except he doesnt have a rotating waist, and no feet articulation,its forgivable since it "Transform"

Model Itself

Pretty fat, but being an super robot, the more Mass, the better!

Orb decorations are already an Insta win, though just asking out of curiosity, what the hell is the purpose of these thing?

It speaks for itself(not literally)

Back pack Wing are well articulated, Its funny how these thing are so small compared to the body, makes you wonder how the hell does it even lift Granzon(rule of srw: never question the impossible)

Size Comparison: not as Big as an MG but still pretty tall.

Articulation

Now to show just how much of a "Brick" this guy is.

Um Granzon~

HaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHa!!!

Arms, you see those massive shoulder armor binders, are so big its hard to move his arm, then again he never had much

........ refer to Arms.....

The only articulation Granzon ties 00 with, minus 00 bendy stomach, since his got the chest gun.

Granzon does have more shoulder artulation thanks to the construction of the shoulder joint( I actually almost lost the piece it tends to pop off.)

Legs, Granzon can barely lift its legs, and it can barely bend its leg too.

Granzon does make up for some good looking feet joint, the only problem, its too tight.

Accessories

Granzon comes with 5 hands and 4 caps in total, 2 closed first 2 open plam, and 1 sword hand

Gran Sword, Its...So...F**KIN...AWESOME!!! Oh did I mention it puts all the BFS(big f'in sword) to shame, then again It was never close to beating Zengars, heheh.

Extras

Linebarrel has finally been upstaged by much cooler looking Robot, carrying a scissor just for the laugh of it.

Doing an "EPIC EXIT ASCEND/ENTRANCE DESCEND, and the funny part, the figma stand can support Granzons weight, compared to my flimpy old action stand base.

A REALLY AWESOME Kotobukiya Kit, though not given much justice to how I built it(didnt bother cleaning nubs) Its still great as a Stand Alone, also great improvement from the plastic to the way the joints are made.

Hey it is my B-day, I have the right to Gloat at your faces, HAHAHAHAHAHa, unless you make more than that in a weak then...I still laugh at you!

I would still prefer to have this kit though ^^;

HGUC 1/144 Blue Destiny 2

Lookie its a fully blue Mobile suit,or a Gundam, and its kinda rare to see a good looking fully blue MS besides Gouf and Rezin Schnyder Geara. Dman I wished I bought all three of the Blue destiny units, I just loved the RX-79 Design out of the RX line.

Head profile,yup I changed the Goatee, eye bags, and the V-fin color, the original color pretty much clashed with the body color.

The package cam with stickers for all three MS,forgot to tkae the pic, but theres also a black print.

I swear this are magazines its carrying, too bad it doesnt have a machine gun.

CHest Vulcans, and the two side cylinders are chest missiles

Back, if I had RX-79(G) back pack it would wit, I mean they share the same design after all.

It comes with two back packs, though I dont know why not just make it one?

The whole backpack isnt very heavy though.

The articulation of the HGUC line is what really amazes me, it really goes head on againt 00 S2 Gundams articulation.

Got 00, king/queen of superb HG articulation for comparison

HGUC elbow is Double jointed allowing the hands to almost touch the shoulder,00 can barely touch its shoulder.

Movable pelvis joint, except blues ball jointed.

no question, 00 has the best articulation when it came to legs, Blue makes up for foot articulation though.

The legs also houses Beam storages.

Shield holder has two sockets one for the side and below the arm,sadly it only attaches with the left arm.

Shield is GM command, Nice!

Ironicly, the trigger finger, my favorite hand type, HGUC sacrifec stablity for design, and that is why its so irritatingly loose.

Beam rifle, would have been nice If I could swap with Blue detiny 1's Machine gun. Still its a good looking rifle

When I built this guy, I felt something was missing, it was too basic and all RX design ussualy carry some huge @SS thing, or a weapon, and this guys missing it, and so I gave it a Bazooka, because the RX 78 and GP03 looked Bad@ss carrying them.

For something really plain and basic, this guy has tons of posability with it, minus that it comes short in arnaments, and heck they could have included more guns or one bazooka. Deffinitely woth getting and blue destiny one too, minus Blue destiny 3,its not "blue" enough^^
